SHRINKFLATION OF PRODUCTS
You are not thinking like this… I know, but these big companies are actually cheating you. Hopefully you never noticed this.
But if you want to get ahead of them, then definitely read the solution we are telling at the end.
How big companies are cheating you by making your favorite items smaller. Known as SHRINKFLATION; it’s a fraud, but unlike inflation, the prices of products go up, so what do you really notice?
This is the type of inflation that you wouldn’t know existed. See, because these big companies know that if they raised their prices, you would refuse to buy this product.
Without consulting or giving any information about their products, they would make this selfish decision, Instead, they would gradually decrease the quantity of the product, and you would not even know it’s a fraud, yet you would be paying the same price.
Quantity Reduced
Like reducing the quantity; for example, if you are getting 10 pieces of cookies, they will make it 9. It is not only in cookie packets; there are many more examples, like a chips packet that is filled with air and has fewer chips inside it.

Paying for Air
Mostly in many products, they reduce the quantity and even weight. I mean, the packets of that product are long but thin.
Packages look similar when placed next to each other on a shopping market shelf. But when you place them side by side, they become narrower.
It may appear much smaller, have fewer parts than a larger packet, or have a dent at the bottom. This is being presented as design when, in fact, you are being given a low-quality product. You are actually paying for air.
Fast Food Tricks
How Fast Food Restaurants Make Us Fools. Do you remember that time you ordered from a fast food restaurant and the serving size was minimal?
For example, why are the pickles thicker than the burger patty? And this is all very unfair, but the price adds up; here at least you can think about whether you will continue to order FAST FOOD in the future or not.

Here, they trick your mind very smartly, knowing very well that you will not get value for your money. PSYCHOPHYSICS. There is a term for this called psychophysics.
And they have become so expert in this that they know that if they distract your attention with some clever techniques like changing the width, height, length, or diameter together, common people like you will not easily suspect the changes in the size of the product.
Change Packet & Generate Revenue
Like how this chocolate bar was packaged to make it look new and better, when in reality they just round the corners and cut the corners to get some chocolate out of you. They save about 5 grams.
This tissue roll looks bigger, but in reality, the hole has become bigger, so you get less tissue. Some people technically call it 2 pieces, when in fact it was cut in the middle. Or call it mislabeling of the weight of the items.
These small changes here and there—one piece removed per pack, tens of grams reduced per box. Deep pits at the bottom.
While all this may seem like not much, it’s the billions of dollars these companies are earning in revenue.
The new soap bar weighs about 16% less than before. And friends, this is not a one-time thing. This deceptive strategy has been going on for decades. That’s why you’ll always think your childhood product is so much better.
The worst part is, after years of making it, when the big companies finally experience better conditions, like lower raw material costs, they’ll magically revert it back to its original size for you.
These greedy corporations will advertise a higher number of products and possibly ask you to pay more money for a supposed upgrade. Like 25 ml more.

Be Aware ; Compare products
As I promised you at the beginning, now that you know what lengths these greedy giants will go to sneak in your precious money, how can you outsmart them?
Well, do you know what consumers did with one of the famous chocolates, Toblerone, It is a perfect example of this. In 2016, Toblerone increased the spacing between their iconic triangle bars.
Effectively giving consumers less chocolate, but then there was so much backlash that they were forced to bring back the original shape.
So go ahead and expose yourself to these sneaky practices if you find any, whenever possible. And if you don’t have the time to do all that, you can also choose generic brands.
Which are less likely to be affected by economic changes and are therefore less likely to cost you. And protect yourself from fraud.
